How do you connect a laserjet to multiple computers?
Assuming you have your computers network together, here is a free way to do it.
Attach the printer by the USB cable to one of your printers.
Load the drivers.
During the nouns you will be ask if you want to share the printer. Tell it yes.
Once loaded, you will be able to jump into My Network Places on any other computer and see that printer.
Click on it and it will install on the second computer.
After that, you will be able to print to the printer from the second computer also.
What it really does is grating the file over to the first computer and the first computer prints it. But the personality using the first computer does not see anything or have to do anything.
It does require that the first computer be turned on. It does not hold to be logged into, or can be locked).
The easy channel is to get a USB Print Server, they are in the order of $60 and this way no PC requests to be tied up.
You were mis-sold, Eithernet is an suggested extra to connect to multiple PC.
You can also install it on one PC, then share it, and the other PC will see it as a web printer
connect them by network
