I put foreign, geuine printer cartridges within my Epson R220 printer, but the printer keep sayng they are useless.?

how do i reset the printer to adopt the new cartridges?

I enjoy only changed the cartidges within this printer one other time and it was fine. We are hooked up to a mac os10.

Before installation its other a good impression to sit the cartridges upright out of the gadget for about 15-20 minutes. This allows the ink to flow through the videotape. When the ink settles in one subdivision of the cartridge deeply of times your printer will not recognize it as self installed because the ink levels are not detected. I would also shut down the apparatus install the cartridge afterwards start it back up. A lot of times your appliance detects the cartridge that bearing.. Hope this helps.
