The technology is call thermal inkjet.



HP calls theirs Deskjets or Officejets. Canon call theirs Bubblejets. They're essentially the same item.



The main difference contained by technologies that you involve to choose is probably between inkjets or laserjets. That uses different technologies.
Well both show the same item, just different maker use different terminology.
I enjoy laserjet and deskjet
