Multiple printers on one PC?

I enjoy a friend with a exotic Dell Desktop. He has 3 printers that he have hooked to his old system via a guide selector switch. Instead of using the switch, can he just plug respectively printer into an available USB port if he were to take USB to parallel cables? Thanks!

Multiple printers on one PC?

Yes, he should be capable of attach each printer to a different USB port and know how to use it. If that is going to run him low on USB ports, he might consider getting a small 4 port USB hub, and using it to attach the three printers - next he would only be using one of his ports.
yes.
yep, thats no problem to plug 3 contained by.. although a waste of usb ports / electricity.. so conceivably investing in a usb2 hub would be perfect also, as well as the parallel / usb convertors.

i use 2, one laser for printing docs (as it more economical).. and another for photos.
Windows XP have issues with adjectives in one printers/scanners. So mind your Ps and Qs. I have three printers on my NAS PC for printing on my make friends so it is possible.
Yes he could. A parallel to USB cable runs $13 roughly.
Yes, it is possible, but all you really necessitate is one printer unless he's into photo stuff. Kinda like when you travel in a network's printer directory (there can be MORE than one!!).

Good luck!
first check if adjectives the 3 printer can take USB save you may want to use a print sharing device...
Yep should be no problem, I currently run 5 printers off my PC. granted they are adjectives run off a hub.
Yes he can. I would recommend he purchasing a parallel port PCI card. It will be more relieble than usb and cheaper that a parallel to USB cable. Provided the 2nd and 3rd printer are parallel also.
