How Do I Set Up a Generic Printer?

I own Windows XP Media Center and I would like to set up a generic printer so that I don't own to print it to paper and I can put within on a CD. If it help I am using Lytec Billing software.

Click on printers and faxes, click on Add Printer. Click Next. On the next peak select local printer and uncheck Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer, click Next. Use the LPT1: port, and click Next. Select Generic from the left column and Generic / Text Only from the right column. Click Next. Make it your evasion printer, click Next. Do not share printer, click Next. Do not print a test page, click Next. Click Finish. I'm assuming that this program have a print to file way out.
