How do I dispatch a folder from a laptop to a printer?

Okay, so I own a new laptop, want to print some files from it. Still get my old PC which is connected to a printer. My brother have had a laptop for a while, he can click print on Word, somewhere he is in the house, and it sends it to the printer. Only works if the antediluvian PC and printer are both on, of course, but I can't even procure that far.

When I click 'print', it gives me the preference of sending it to Microsoft XPS document writer, or MS OneNote, not my actual printer, which is an Epson Stylus Colour 740.

If my brother were here, I'd ask him how he did it, lol, but he's not...any conception?

It sounds like you do not enjoy the printer driver installed on your laptop. Find the CD for the printer and install it on the laptop, consequently see if your wireless capability is turned on surrounded by your laptop. On most newer laptops there are buttons contained by the front /side that can turn on and off the WIFI.

If you cannot find the compact disc then if your printer is USB disconnect it from your antediluvian PC and connect it to the USB slot on your laptop. If you have Windows XP or Vista it may install the driver for your printer. You can also move about to the Epson site and download the printer driver. The link is below.
You hold to connect the printer to your laptop or buy a printer that has wireless printing. You can buy a wireless print adapter from dell.
